MIS 2200 Assignment #4

Recently I have applied to study abroad. I have been wanting to go abroad since my sophomore year in high school when we housed two foreign students at my school. It always intrigued me how they handled living in another country and going to school there. So when I got to college I looked into the different programs I could go through and I found one that seemed just right for me. It is for business students only (which I am), and it is a semester long program in Sydney, Australia. I did my research as to how this would benefit me in the long run and got a lot of good feedback. The University of Maryland's study abroad website says "employers in our global economy seek the skills polished by overseas engagement." Having an experience abroad will help me with future employment options is one of the many reasons I've wanted to study abroad. I also want to go because of all the cultural and social experiences you gain by living in a different country. Now I just have to pray that I get in!
