movies in australia

Now I'm someone who loves movies. I mean I love movies. In high school we would go to a new movie every sunday. So when I got to Australia I was pretty disappointed when I found out I would have to do one of two things in order to see a movie.

1. find someone who has a car to drive me to the $6 movie theater ten minutes away.
2. pay $20 for a ticket at the theater at the square.

Both those things aren't things I really want to do. I achieved the first on the second week I was here and my roommate felt bad for me and Javi so would drive us places. And I did the second one last night when Elyse convinced me that we needed to see Despicable Me. Yes, I paid $21.50 for a movie on a friday night. Now the movie was very good and the chairs were very comfortable so it turned out to be okay. I probably won't see another movie while I'm here. What? I'm a poor college student and I can watch them on Redbox when I get home. Man I miss Redbox.
