finally unperturbed

Well the month of September is finally over. And I'm not going to lie, I could not be happier! There was a whole lot of stress that came with September: I moved back to Logan, started school, and started a new job. Lets also not forget to mention that I made my best friends wedding cake. Talk about a whole lot of anxiety. I mean it was a whole lot of fun as well. School is going good. I wish I was doing better in my classes but I'm doing as best as I can right now. I love work! There is only one bad thing about working in a bakery, and that of course is that I'm constantly surrounded by very yummy treats. I'm trying my best to not eat them but sometimes they just look so good! Logan is starting to get cold, unfortunately. We actually had our first snow storm on Wednesday, yes the day before October started. I don't know about you but I think it's pretty ridiculous that its snowing even before October starts. My roommate told me the almanac's have predicted the worst winter we've had in the last ten years. Yep, I'm not very excited for that..

And Lexi got married... Wow I can't even believe that she did! She's the first friend of mine and its so hard to wrap my head around it. She's so happy though. Her wedding was gorgeous. And her cake was stunning! haha But it was on the 24th. I was supposed to be at the Salt Lake Temple at like 10:30. But of course, I was running late. I had to wake up and but the finishing touches on the cake and get all ready for the day. When I finally got downtown, the parking lot I was supposed to park in was COMPLETELY full, and there is nowhere to park downtown. So I drove around downtown for twenty minutes looking for a place to park. Once I finally did, I had to run (yes I literally ran) three block in the dress and heels. But I didn't run quick enough. I got there literally ten seconds after they came out of the temple. I was so sad I missed it, but I got to be apart of everything else. So we all stayed around the temple grounds and took pictures. Then we drove up to Layton for the luncheon. There were lots of people there and we just ate and talked and had a good time. Then the friends for college went back over to Hali's house to do homework and wait for the reception to start. But I had to be there early so I could set up the cake. My mother/assistant and sister drove the cake up about an hour before the reception started. We touched up the parts that got damaged on the road and then got it all set up outside. The reception was held in Lexi's parents backyard. It was beautiful! Her colors were red and turquoise and the yard was decorated in those colors and it looked amazing. So after the cake was done and ready for the reception, I went and changed my dress and headed outside. It was a fun night! I hung around with Jess and Hali and just kind of chilled. At the end of the night, the newly wed couple cut the cake and shoved it into each others faces. Then Lexi threw the bouquet. AND I CAUGHT IT!!! But don't worry, I won't be the next one to get married ;) Then I drove back to Logan. It was a good day. I'm very happy for Lex.

So lately I've just been hanging out and working. Now that I'm not so stressed out anymore I can just sit back and relax. It's awesome!

...if only it was warm... sigh...
