End of Summer Update

Yes, I know I've been out of the loop for a long time, but I've been a little busy. And it's about these adventures I've been on that I'd like to share with you.

I went to visit my bestie Elyse in Chico, CA. I had a great week exploring her city and just hanging out. We haven't seen each other since November when she left Australia so we had lots to catch up on. We went hiking and ate great food and drank lots of coffee. I just hope we don't go that long without seeing each other again!

I then went to New York City to celebrate the 24th birthday of my wonderful sister Brittney! It was such a great trip. It wasn't without its ups and downs of course, but it was still amazing. I went running in Central Park with my mom, went to a Yankees game, and explored the city with my sister's lovely friends. I guess we can look at the end of the trip as good and bad. The bad: we had to spend two days inside because Hurricane Irene decided to pass on through Manhattan. Luckily it didn't do a lot of damage but it was quite annoying when the entire city shut down when nothing really happened. The good: we got stay an extra day and can now say we lived through a hurricane! It was quite an adventure that I enjoyed so much!!
