well, it only took me eight weeks but i finally made it to the beach. it wasn't so much as a lay out and play in the water kind of trip; just a lets go see what a real australian beach is like and see the ocean. now we probably didn't go on the best day, seeing as it was raining and cloudy and windy, but it was still so much fun.dan and john took me and elyse down to wollongong(pretty sweet name right?) which is about an hour south of campbelltown. it was sunnyuntil we got out of the car, then it started to rain. it wasn't a very heavy rain, but still, we were getting wet. i didn't care that much though. i was just happy to be able to look out into the ocean and watch the waves crash against the shore. i could sit and watch the ocean for hours. and i would have done that except for the wind that stirred up the sand that pelted the backs of my legs and made them sting. once the wind died down and the rain stopped, me and elyse sat down on a bench and had a cup of coffee and just talked while the boys played footy on the beach. once the rain picked up again we decided to head back to c-town. it was a great day. i just wish i could have seen more of the sun. maybe next time.
